Huff N' Even More Puff Grand Game Review (New Slot Demo)
Introduction to Joker's Jewels Hold & Spin
I must say Light & Wonder has been milking the Huff N' Puff series (see past version) for a while now, and honestly? I'm not mad about it because they keep making each version better. Huff N Even More Puff Grand just dropped in December 2025, and after spending quite a bit of time with it, I gotta say this is hands down the best version of the Huff N' Puff slots they've made so far. I have been playing slots for over 15 years, and while the whole “three little pigs” theme has been done to death, this one actually brings some fresh ideas to the table.
The game still uses the classic story of the three pigs building houses and trying to keep the wolf out, but this time they've turned the pigs into construction workers, which is kinda funny. The graphics aren't gonna blow your mind – they're decent but nothing special – but that's not really why you play this slot anyway. You're here for those massive feature upgrades and the chance at a 10,000x max win. What really sets this Grand edition apart is the new Ultra Wheel feature with Palaces, which takes the whole mansion-building concept to another level.

Gameplay and Special Features of Huff N' Even More Puff Grand
Huff N Even More Puff Grand runs on a 5×3 grid with 243 ways to win in the base game, but things get way more interesting during the bonus features when the grid expands and you get up to 7,776 ways to win. Betting starts at just €0.20 and goes all the way up to €800 per spin, so it works for pretty much any budget, though this is definitely geared towards high rollers who want to chase those big feature wins.
The symbols are split between low-paying Royals (10, J, Q, K, A) and higher-paying themed symbols like measuring tape, construction tools, hard hats, and the three pig characters. The pigs pay the best, with five of a kind giving you decent wins. There's also a Wolf Wild that only appears on reels 2, 3, and 4, and it substitutes for all regular symbols.
Now here's where things get exciting – this slot has a TON of features, and they all build on each other in really cool ways. The main thing to understand is the frame upgrade system. Here is how it works, certain symbols can land with colored frames (bronze, silver, gold, diamond), and these frames determine what kind of prizes you get. Hard hats upgrade these frames, and mansions/palaces multiply your wins based on the frame level.
The Buzz Saw feature is your gateway to the bonus rounds. Landing 3 buzz saw scatters triggers the free spins, but here is the exciting twist: the reels can also randomly trigger upgrades during the base game. I have played where I got multiple Buzz Saw triggers in like 50 spins, and other times where I played over 200 spins without seeing a single one. That's high volatility for you.
What makes the Grand edition special is the new Ultra Wheel. This is basically a third tier of features beyond the regular wheel and super wheel from previous versions. You can trigger it either by landing the upgrade wedge on the Super Wheel, or by getting 3 buzz saws including a diamond buzz saw on reel 5. When I finally triggered the Ultra Wheel for the first time after like 300 spins, I was practically holding my breath watching it spin.
The regular features include:
Mega Hat Feature – Hard hats scroll across the reels and upgrade frames wherever they land. This can turn a bunch of bronze frames into silver or gold ones.
Super Mega Hat Feature – Same idea but with bigger hard hats that cover more positions and give you more upgrades.
Mansions Feature – Mansion symbols fill positions with gold frames, and each mansion pays based on your bet multiplied by the number of frames it covers.
But the real money is in those Ultra features…
Free Spins and Bonus Features
The free spins system in Huff N Even More Puff Grand is complex, but once you understand it, it's actually pretty straightforward. Landing 3+ Buzz Saw scatters triggers the Bonus Wheel, which spins to determine what feature you get. You can land regular free spins, or you might trigger one of the special features instead.
The Bonus Wheel can award:
- Standard Free Spins – Usually 8-12 spins on the expanded 6×4 grid with 7,776 ways to win
- Mega Hat Feature – Hard hats upgrade frames across the reels
- Super Mega Hat Feature – Even bigger hard hats with more upgrade potential
- Mansions Feature – Positions fill with mansion symbols
- Upgrade to Super Wheel – Takes you to the next level wheel with better features
If you get the upgrade, you go to the Super Wheel which has similar options but more powerful versions. And if you're really lucky, you can trigger the Ultra Wheel from there.
Now let's talk about those three new Ultra features that make this Grand edition special:
Ultra Hard Hat Feature
This is probably my favorite of the new features. The grid expands even more, and you get these special Split Hat symbols that can upgrade frames by multiple levels at once. I had one bonus where a split hat upgraded like 10 positions from bronze straight to diamond frames, and the payout was insane – over 800x my bet just from that one feature. The potential here is massive because you can stack multiple upgrades on the same positions.
Ultra Mega Mansion Feature
This works similar to the regular Mansion feature, but all filled positions start with gold frames automatically. Huge mansion symbols scroll through the grid and stop on random positions, and every spot they cover pays out based on the gold frame value. The catch is you need the mansions to land on good positions to get big wins. I have had this feature pay anywhere from 50x to over 1,200x, depending on where the mansions landed.
Ultra Palaces Feature
Okay, this is the big one you're always hoping for. Palaces are essentially upgraded mansions and are represented by diamond frames. When hard hats land during the Ultra Palaces feature, they leave behind diamond frames that transform into palaces. Each palace is worth way more than a regular mansion – I'm talking 50x to 200x per palace, depending on size. My best hit came from this feature when I ended up with 6 palaces on screen at once and walked away with a 2,400x win. That's the kind of potential that keeps you coming back for more.
The features can also retrigger if you land more buzz saws during the bonus, giving you additional spins or another wheel spin. I managed to retrigger twice in one bonus round and ended up with something like 30 total spins, which let me build up a ton of upgraded frames.
There are also Buy Bonus options if you don't want to wait for the features to trigger naturally. You can buy your way directly into:
- The cost is 60x your bet which I find fair
I tried the buy a couple times. First time I paid 60x and got back about 40x so I took a loss. Second time I hit the Ultra Palaces feature and won 1,800x, so I came out way ahead. So the potential is definitely there.

Useful Information About Huff N' Even More Puff Grand
The high volatility is real. I've had sessions where I burned through my entire budget without hitting a single good feature, and other sessions where I hit the Ultra Wheel twice in 100 spins and walked away with massive profits. This is definitely a slot where bankroll management matters – don't bet more than you can afford to lose, because those dry spells can be brutal.
The max win of 10,000x is solid but not groundbreaking compared to some newer slots offering 20,000x or even 50,000x. Still, 10,000x is enough to be life-changing if you're betting decent stakes.
My Thoughts About This Demo Game™
Alright, so after playing Huff N Even More Puff Grand for quite awhile across multiple sessions, here's my honest opinion – I'd rate this slot 9.3/10.
What I absolutely loved:
The Ultra Wheel feature is brilliant and exactly what the series needed. The previous Huff N' Puff versions were getting a bit stale, but adding that third tier with Palaces really freshens things up. The Ultra Hard Hat feature with those split symbols that upgrade multiple levels at once creates these amazing “holy shit” moments when you see a bunch of frames jump straight to diamond level.
The upgrade progression system is super satisfying. Starting with bronze frames and working your way up to gold and eventually diamond feels rewarding, especially when you stack multiple upgrades on the same positions during free spins. It's not just random chaos – there's actual strategy in how the features build on eachother.
The variety of features means you're not just getting the same bonus round over and over. Sometimes you get the Mega Hat, sometimes Mansions, sometimes if you're lucky you hit that Ultra Wheel. This keeps the gameplay fresh even after hundreds of spins.
The expanded grid during features with 7,776 ways to win makes those bonus rounds feel genuinely exciting. More ways to win means more action, more chains of wins, and more chances for those upgraded frames to pay off big.
What could be better:
The base game is quite boring. You're basically just grinding through spins waiting for those Buzz Saw scatters to land. The Wolf Wilds help occasionally, but they only appear on three reels so they don't create wins that often. I found myself using turbo spin most of the time just to get through the base game faster.
The graphics and theme are getting old. Don't get me wrong, the construction worker pigs are cute, but we've seen this story so many times now. Light & Wonder could've done something more creative visually instead of just adding another layer to the same old pig theme.
The volatility can be absolutely punishing. Going 250+ spins without triggering a bonus is not uncommon, and when you finally do trigger something, there's no guarantee it will even pay back your investment. I had multiple sessions where I hit the bonus wheel only to get a weak Mega Hat feature that paid like 15x my total bet. That is frustrating when you have been waiting forever for it.
The buy bonus option is good you “only” have to pay 60x your bet for a shot at the Ultra Wheel.
The 10,000x max win feels limiting when you are playing such a high variance slot. If I am gonna deal with massive swings and long dry spells, I'd like to see max win potential of atleast 15,000-20,000x to make it feel worth the risk.
Bottom line:
Huff N Even More Puff Grand is the best version of this series, no question. The Ultra Wheel with Palaces adds genuine excitement and massive win potential that the earlier versions lacked. If you're a fan of the Huff N' Puff slots or if you enjoy high-volatility games with complex feature sets, you'll probably love this.
But be warned – this is NOT a slot for casual players or people with small bankrolls. The volatility will chew through your money during dry spells, and you need patience (and budget) to wait out those long stretches between features. When the features do hit, and you get lucky with those Ultra features, it is absolutely thrilling and can pay massive amounts. But when they don't, it's just painful.
I will definitely keep coming back to this one because I love the upgrade wheel mechanic and those Palace features can be incredibly rewarding. Just make sure you're prepared for the ups and downs, because this slot does not mess around. If you can handle the volatility and you have got the bankroll for it, Huff N Even More Puff Grand delivers some of the most exciting bonus rounds I've played in recent slots.
