Le King Game Review (Upcoming Slot Play Now)
Introduction to Le King
Hacksaw Gaming's latest addition to their popular “Le” series has arrived, and this time Smokey the gruff bear is heading to the bright lights of Sin City! Le King takes our favorite furry character from the streets of Paris (Le Bandit) all the way to Las Vegas, where he's dressed up like Elvis and ready to rock the reels.
This slot is basically an upgraded version of the original Le Bandit, but with some exciting new features thrown in. The most notable addition is the new Jackpot Markers system, which can instantly award wins up to the game's massive 20,000x max payout. If your familiar with the previous “Le” slots, you'll feel right at home with the Golden Squares mechanic, but there's definitely enough new content here to keep things fresh and exciting.
The Theme and Symbols of Le King.
The game takes place in “Spin City” (a clever play on Sin City), with neon lights, casino vibes, and all the glitz and glamour you'd expect from Las Vegas. Smokey looks as grumpy as ever standing beside the reels, but hey who wouldn't be irritated in those sparkly Elvis threads?
The symbols include the usual card 10 to A royals for low pays, followed by watermelons, dice, microphones, casino chips, and roulette wheels. The payouts start small at 0.1x for 5 symbols but can reach up to 25x for 12+ matching symbolmes in a cluster
The game is fun and exciting to play

Gameplay and Special Features of Phoenix DuelReels
Le King is on a 6×5 grid using the cluster pays mechanic, which means you need 5 or more matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically to create a win. The game has medium volatility, which is pretty standard for the “Le” series, and offers an RTP of up to 96.14% (though as always with Hacksaw, check which version your casino is using since it can go as low as 88.25%).
The real game excitement comes from the Super Cascade feature. When you land a winning cluster, not only do those symbols disappear, but all symbols of the same type across the entire grid get removed too. This creates much bigger cascades than your typical tumbling reel and can ead to some big wins.
The star of the show is still the Golden Squares feature that made the previous “Le” games so addictive. Every time you land a win, the positions behind those symbols turn into Golden Squares. When a Neon Rainbow symbol lands, it activates all the Golden Squares at once, revealing:
- Bronze Coins (0.2x-4x multipliers)
- Silver Coins (5x-20x multipliers)
- Gold Coins (25x-500x multipliers)
- Treasure Pots (collect values from other symbols)
- Green Clovers (multiply adjacent symbols by 2x-20x)
- Gold Clovers (multiply ALL coins and pots by 2x-20x)
NEW: Jackpot Markers (Mini 10x, Major 100x, Mega 1,000x, Max Win 20,000x)
The interaction between all these elements creates some incredibly satisfying sequences where multipliers stack, treasures collect, and big wins build up organically.
Free Spins and Bonus Features
Le King offers three different bonus rounds, each more powerful than the last:
Spin City Bonus Game
The bonus is triggered by landing 3 FS scatters, giving you 10 free spins. The main advantage here is that Golden Squares stick around on the reels until a Neon Rainbow activates them, meaning they can build up over multiple spins for potentially huge payouts.
Jackpot of Gold Bonus Game**
Hit 4 FS scatters to trigger this feature with 10 free spins. Not only do Golden Squares remain on the reels after being activated (unlike the base game), but you have better chances of hitting those valuable Jackpot Markers.
Viva Le Bandit Hidden Epic Bonus Game
This is the premium feature requiring 5 FS scatters. You get 10 free spins where EVERY spin guarantees a Neon Rainbow, and all revealed coins are either Silver or Gold (no Bronze). This basically means guaranteed action on every single spin.
During any bonus round, landing 2 or 3 additional FS scatters awards +2 or +4 extra spins respectively.
The game also offers several bonus buy options:
- BonusHunt Feature Spins: 3x bet (5x more likely to trigger bonus)
- Shamrock & Roll FeatureSpins: 60x bet (guaranteed win + Neon Rainbow each spin)
- Spin City: 80x bet
- Jackpot of Gold: 250x bet
Note that the Hidden Epic bonus can't be purchased – it's one of those exclusive features Hacksaw likes to keep for organic triggers only.
What Other Websites Say About Phoenix DuelReels
Since this is an upcoming release (June 26, 2025), there aren't many reviews available yet. However, early previews suggest that fans of the original Le Bandit will appreciate the familiar mechanics with the new jackpot twist.
Useful Information About Phoenix DuelReels
The biggest change from previous “Le” games is definitely the addition of Jackpot Markers. These can appear randomly or be revealed by Golden Squares, and when activated by a Neon Rainbow, they award their fixed values instantly:
- Mini Jackpot: 10x bet
- Major Jackpot: 100x bet
- Mega Jackpot: 1,000x bet
- Max Win Jackpot: 20,000x bet
Only one of each jackpot type can appear at the same time, and importantly, they award their values AFTER any coins and treasure pots have been collected.
The 20,000x max win is the highest in the “Le” series so far, and the fact that it can be won instantly through a Jackpot Marker makes it feel more achievable than building up to it through cascades andt multipliers alone.

My Thoughts About This Slot Game
I've been testing Le King for the past few days, and honestly, it's a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, if you loved the Le Bandit slot like I did, then this feels like a natural evolution with some nice upgrades. The Golden Squares mechanic is still as satisfying as ever, and when those cascades build up big wins never gets old.
The new Gold Clovers are a nice addiction, and unlike Green Clovers that only multiply adjacent symbols, these multiply EVERYTHING on the grid, which can lead to some ridiculous payouts when you hit them at the right moment.
However, I have to admitt the jackpot system feels a bit… artificial? Hacksaw has always relied on clever features rather than fixed jackpots, so seeing them go this route feels a bit like following the crowd and not something I like. Don't get me wrong hitting that instant 20,000x would be amazing, but it also means a chunk of the RTP is tied up in these rare jackpot hits rather than distributed through regular gameplay.
In my testing sessions, I managed to trigger the Spin City bonus 3 times and the Jackpot of Gold once. The regular bonus was okay but nothing special, similar to what you'd expect from Le Bandit. The Jackpot of Gold round was more exciting since the Golden Squares kept building up, but I never hit any of the big jackpot markers.
The medium volatility rating feels correct set by Hacksaw . You're not going to experience the brutal swings of some high volatile Hacksaw slots, but you're also not going to see consistent small wins either. Most of my sessions involved long stretches of base game grinding punctuated by occasional Golden Square activations.
Overall, Le King ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (9/10) – A good upgrade to a proven formula, even if the jackpot system feels a bit forced. Le King is a solid addition to the “Le” series that will definitely appeal to fans of the original. The jackpot system adds excitement, even if it feels a bit gimmicky. If you enjoyed Le Bandit but wanted higher win potential, this scratches that itch nicely. Just be aware that chasing those jackpots can burn through your balance quickly!
