Wild Roll Game Review (Upcoming Slot Demo)
Introduction to Wild Roll🎰
I've been spinning the reels for over 20 years now, and let me tell ya – Playtech's newest jungle adventure “Wild Roll” had me hooked from the first spin! This ain't your average wildlife-themed slot.
Set deep in a lush jungle, the game has this immersive atmosphere that really pulls you in. The background music has this tribal beat that gets your heart pumping without being annoying (unlike some slots where I'm frantically searching for the mute button after 2 minutes!).
What makes Wild Roll stand out from the dozens of jungle slots I've played over the years is how it cleverly combines a traditional 5×3 slot with board game elements. It's like Playtech took Jumanji slot from (Netent) and turned it into a slot that actually pays!
The theme is Jungle, Animals. The features the game will have are: Wild Jungle Bonus, Dice Board game bonus (Very fun), Free spins with high paying symbols, 3 Buy feature options and 4 jackpots.
You can now play the free slot by simply clicking the demo game here on this page.

🎮Gameplay and Special Features of Wild Roll
The base game runs on a pretty standard 5-reel, 3-row setup with 30 paylines, but don't let that fool you – there's nothing standard about how this game plays! The symbols include your usual card values (hidden behind question marks until the bonus round) and gorgeous high-paying animal symbols like tigers, crocs, elephants and toucans.
I spent about 3 hours testing this slot, and the feature that kept me coming back was the Nudge function. There's nothing more frustrating than seeing a bonus symbol juuuust miss the reels, but Wild Roll actually gives you a second chance! The game will sometimes nudge the reels to help you trigger that elusive bonus round. During my session, this happened about 4-5 times, and let me tell you – that moment when the reel shifts just enough to bring a bonus symbol into view? Pure slot magic!
The wild symbol is this cool tribal mask that substitutes for everything except the special symbols. One thing to note – these wilds only appear on reels 2 through 5, which took me a bit to figure out (was wondering why I never saw them on the first reel!).
What really got me excited was landing card symbols alongside bonus symbols. These cards are the key to unlocking the game's full potential, and I'll get into that in the bonus section.
Free Spins and Bonus Features
This is where Wild Roll really shines! There are two main bonus features:
First up, the Free Games feature triggers when you land three Free Games symbols on reels 2, 3, and 4. You get 8 free spins, which might not sound like much, but here's the kicker – all those lower-paying card symbols are removed during free spins! This massively increases your chances of hitting those big animal symbol combinations.
During my testing, I managed to trigger this 3 times, and my biggest win came from a full screen of tigers that paid around 75x my bet. Not life-changing, but definately a nice boost to my balance!
But the real star of the show is the Wild Roll Bonus round. This is triggered when you land at least one Bonus symbol on reels 1 and/or 5, plus at least one Card symbol anywhere. When this happened, I was transported to a board game with 24 positions, each holding different prizes. My max win on the board game was 174x my bet.
The mechanics are genius – you roll two dice to move around the board, collecting multipliers as you go. Each position you land on with a multiplier adds to your total win, but then transforms into a Red X. Land on a Red X again, and your bonus ends… unless you've got a Life Card!
I got super lucky during one bonus round and scored a “Double Win Card” that doubled all my multipliers, followed by a “Trail Collect Card” that let me collect all multipliers along my next roll path. Ended up with a 120x win from that single bonus round!
There's also this awesome mini game called Jungle Road that triggers when you land on a monkey head position. It's basically a separate 8-position trail with even bigger multipliers. I only got to play this once, but it boosted my bonus win considerably.
The variety of special cards makes it even more fun to play- there's cards that remove Red X positions, spread multipliers across the board, double wins, grant extra lives, and even cards that can award one of the jackpot prizes! I never hit the Grand jackpot (obviously), but did snag the Mini prize worth about 20x my bet.

My Thoughts About This Demo Game™ 🎯
After a solid testing session with Wild Roll, I gotta say I'm impressed! The board game bonus feature is incredibly engaging and offers something genuinely different from the sea of “free spins with a twist” bonuses that dominate the market.
✅What I love most is the multiple layers of features – there's always something to aim for. Just when you think you've seen everything, you'll unlock a new card type or special position that changes the whole dynamic of the bonus round.
The base game can be a bit of a grind sometimes (I went about 70 spins at one point without a significant win), but the anticipation of triggering that board game bonus keeps you spinning. The Nudge feature is a brilliant touch that saved me from several near-miss frustrations.
If I had to nitpick, I'd say the free spins feature is a bit underwhelming compared to the main bonus round. It feels like an afterthought, though removing the low-paying symbols is a nice touch.
Would I play Wild Roll again? Absolutely! In fact, its already earned a spot in my regular rotation. The combination of gorgeous visuals, engaging board game mechanics, and serious win potential makes this a standout release from Playtech.
⭐Final score: 9.5/10 – loses a half point for the slightly below average RTP, but gains major points for innovation and that addictive board game bonus!
