Bamboo Ways Game Review (Upcoming slot release)
Introduction to Bamboo Ways
Push Gaming's Bamboo Ways has been on my radar since I got news from the game provider Push. It was inevitable, and after spending many hours testing it out, I can confidently say this is one of the absolute best games out there, with numerous fun features.
However, the game is quite similar in many ways to the popular Razor Ways slot, which isn't necessarily a bad thing since Razor Ways was brilliant. Push Gaming has basically taken the Razor Ways engine and wrapped it in a Big Bamboo-style theme with some new mechanics thrown in for good measure.

Gameplay and Special Features of Bamboo Ways
Bamboo Ways runs on a 6-reel setup that starts with just 3 rows (729 ways to win) but can expand to a full 6 rows (46,656 ways to win) when things get exciting. The expanding grid mechanic is what makes this game special – every cascade or instant prize win unlocks another row, dramatically increasing your winning potential.
The base symbols are pretty standard – card suits, brushes, gourds, and scrolls as lows, with birds, monkeys, boars, and pandas as the premium symbols. What really caught my attention though are the special symbols. The Expanding Wild covers all unlocked rows and can come with multipliers up to x5. The Converter into Wild is absolutely devastating – it spins through symbols and converts all matching ones to wilds, including itself.
Mystery symbols can reveal practically anything – wilds, expanders, converters, or even Golden Bamboo symbols. The Expander symbols are clever too, stretching Mystery symbols in random directions so they all reveal the same outcome.
Free Spins and Bonus Features
The free spins system is where Bamboo Ways really shines. You can trigger with 3-6 scatters, and the more you get, the better your starting conditions. 3 scatters gives 6 spins on a 3×6 grid with 1x multiplier, while 6 scatters gets you 10 spins on a full 6×6 grid with 5x multiplier and three low symbols removed.
But here's the kicker – during free spins, you can level up by collecting scatter symbols. Every 4 scatters moves you to the next level, adding spins, increasing multipliers, expanding the grid, and removing low-paying symbols. Level 5 is insane with a 10x multiplier on a full grid with four lows removed.
The Golden Bamboo feature is the real money-maker though. These symbols can reveal instant prizes up to 1,000x, multipliers that boost all prizes, collectors that gather everything, or converters that create more Golden Bamboo symbols.

Useful Information About Bamboo Ways
What I also like is there are 4 options for buying the bonus, and 2 for Push Ways (ante bet). You can buy 8 Mystery symbols (18x), Golden Bamboo feature (120x), 3-scatter free spins (80x), or random scatters (400x).
My Thoughts About The Slot Game

After testing the game for many hours, I'm genuinely impressed with what Push Gaming has accomplished here. While Bamboo Ways is undeniably similar to Razor Ways in many core mechanics, the new features add enough excitement to make it feel fresh. The Converter into Wild symbol became my favorite feature – I had some massive wins when it converted entire screens of matching symbols.
The expanding grid makes the slot game more exciting because new rows open up every time you win. It starts with 729 ways to win and can grow to 46,656 ways, which keeps every spin exciting.
One thing I noticed is that Push Gaming seems to have shifted focus away from pure instant prizes (the top prize dropped from 5,000x in Razor Ways to 1,000x here) and more toward feature combinations. This actually works better in my opinion – instead of hoping for one massive coin hit, you get multiple chances for different features to combine and create big wins.
The free spins leveling system is brilliant. Even if you start with just 3 scatters, collecting more during the bonus can transform a mediocre round into something spectacular. I've had sessions where I started at level 1 and climbed all the way to level 5, watching my multiplier grow from 1x to 10x while the grid expanded and low symbols disappeared.
The 25,000x max win potential feels achievable too, especially when multiple features align during the higher free spin levels. The high volatility means you need patience and proper bankroll management, but when everything clicks, the payouts can be absolutely incredible.
My only minor complaint is that it can feel repetitive if you've played a lot of Razor Ways. The core loop is very similar, just with a different theme and some tweaked mechanics. But honestly, if you're going to copy something, copy one of the best slots ever made.
Bottom line: Bamboo Ways successfully builds on the Razor Ways formula while adding enough new elements to justify its existence. The feature combinations create constant excitement, and the expanding grid mechanic never gets old. This is easily one of Push Gaming's strongest releases.
A dam good game with proven mechanics with innovative new features.
My overall rating is 9.7 out 10. Will I play again? yes 100%
